Huaneng Zuoquan Coal and Electricity Co., Ltd. is a state-owned large-scale thermal power generation enterprise under China Huaneng Group. It was established in 2009 with a total installed capacity of 1200MW. It is the core main power source in Jinzhong, Shanxi Province and the only centralized heating main body in Zuoquan County. It has been selected as a provincial key engineering project in Shanxi Province.
Core production capacity and business
Core installed capacity: Operate 2 600MW supercritical coal-fired power generation units, with a total installed capacity of 1200MW, and generate 5.221 billion kilowatt hours of electricity in 2023.
Central heating: It is the only central heating enterprise in Zuoquan County. As of the end of the heating season from 2024 to 2025, the cumulative heating coverage area has reached 4.1 million square meters, and the heating capacity in 2023 is 2.1221 million GJ.
Comprehensive energy layout: Plan and construct a multi energy complementary integrated comprehensive energy base of "wind, solar, water, fire, hydrogen storage", which will be selected as a provincial key engineering project in Shanxi Province in March 2026.
Supporting services: covering the entire chain of power facility operation and maintenance, solid waste resource management, energy storage technology services, and comprehensive energy services for coal and product sales.
