The newly-built ironmaking, hydrogen metallurgy, and silicon steel new material project of Shanxi Jincheng Iron and Steel (Jingang Holdings Group) adopts a large number of vertical multi-stage long axis semi submersible turbine pumps as key fluid transportation equipment in core working conditions such as industrial circulating water, descaling water, and wastewater treatment, which are suitable for the high flow and high reliability continuous operation requirements of steel and iron production.
Background of the project subject
Shanxi Jincheng Iron and Steel, also known as Shanxi Jingang Holdings Group, is the "chain owner" enterprise of the steel industry chain in Shanxi Province. It is located in Bagong Industrial Park, Zezhou County, Jincheng City, with a current pig iron production capacity of 4.784 million tons and crude steel production capacity of 4.6 million tons. By 2024, the output value of the steel industry will exceed 60 billion yuan, accounting for more than 20% of the total industrial output value of Jincheng.
The core projects under construction include a 2 million ton hydrogen metallurgy and silicon steel new material project with a total investment of 14.8 billion yuan, a new ironmaking EPC general contracting project, supporting the construction of circulating water systems, wastewater treatment stations, high-pressure descaling systems and other public works. In 2026, it is in the stage of centralized equipment procurement and installation.
